Before you rise, you must first root

Dear Reader,
There was a season of my life when I couldn't remember what it felt like to truly relax.
Even in peaceful moments — nothing going wrong, nothing to fix — my body stayed braced. On. Waiting for something to go wrong, even when everything was fine.
I had done the work. Read the books. Done the therapy. Understood the psychology. And still, my body didn't believe I was safe.
If you've ever wondered why you still don't feel safe — even after all the healing work you've done — these three episodes may help you understand why.
If you've been experiencing:
anxiety that seems to come out of nowhere
exhaustion that sleep doesn't fix
constantly feeling "on," even when nothing is wrong
second-guessing yourself or your decisions
always bracing for the other shoe to drop
feeling disconnected from your own body
These three episodes were created for you.
Because healing doesn't begin by forcing ourselves to feel differently. It begins when our body finally feels safe enough to let go.
I've come to believe that, for many of us, these are signs our root chakra — the foundation of safety, trust, and belonging — is asking for our attention.
I don't want you to simply understand your root chakra. I want you to experience what it feels like to finally exhale.

EPISODE 043 ~ ROOT CHAKRA REFLECTION
Do you always feel like you have to be "on"? Do you relax — and still not actually feel relaxed?
In this episode, we explore five signs your root chakra may be out of balance — the constant vigilance, the exhaustion, the anxiety — and why so much of what you've been carrying — fear, hypervigilance, old survival patterns — was likely never yours to begin with.
✨ Listen if you're ready to stop calling it a personality flaw and start seeing it as information.
Why do some practices actually calm us — while others never seem to reach the nervous system at all?
This episode moves from understanding into action, exploring why some healing practices create lasting change and others never stick. In this episode, we explore timeless Ayurvedic rituals that gently invite your body to remember what safety feels like.
✨ Listen if you're ready for practices that actually work — not just ones that sound nice.
When was the last time your body felt completely safe?
What if, just for a few minutes, you didn't have to carry it anymore? This episode isn't a conversation. It's a guided visualization you can return to anytime you feel overwhelmed, anxious, or simply need to remember what it feels like to be held — not through force or willpower, but the way a tree releases into the earth.
✨ Listen if you're ready to let something go — gently, without force.
This week, we began a nine-week journey through the nine chakras of the Divine Feminine Hero's Journey — the transformational framework at the heart of The Way of the Goddess.
Next week, we move to the second chakra — Svadhisthana, the sacral center of creativity, pleasure, emotional flow, and our capacity to fully receive life. Same journey: Reflect, Ritual, Release.
If you know someone who's exhausted, anxious, or constantly bracing for something to go wrong — someone who's already done "the work" and still feels stuck — I'd be so grateful if you'd share this week's series with them. Word of mouth is how this wisdom continues to travel.
