Living Liberated

You cannot pour from an empty heart

Dear Reader,

How many times have you loved someone with your whole heart... and quietly kept a part of it guarded, just in case?

How many times have you said, "I'm over it," while your body still flinched at their name?

Given love freely... but flinched at receiving it?

Kept giving—to your partner, your friends, your family—until there was nothing left for you?

Let your heart close, just a little more, with every disappointment... and called it wisdom?

If this feels familiar, I hope you'll hear this first:

Your heart isn't broken.
It's been protecting you.

And perhaps now, it's ready for something different.

Many of us were never taught how to protect our hearts.
We only learned how to armor them.

To stay guarded so we'd never get hurt again.

To give so much love to everyone else that there was none left to give ourselves.

To mistake numbness for healing.

But eventually...

that armor stops keeping the hurt out.

It quietly begins keeping the love out, too.

I know this journey personally. There were seasons of my own life when I believed guarding my heart was the only way to survive. Over time, I discovered that healing wasn't about becoming less loving—it was about finally including myself in the love I so freely gave to everyone else.

If you've been experiencing...

  • difficulty receiving love, help, or care—even when you need it most
  • a heart that feels a little more guarded with every passing year
  • exhaustion from giving love you never allow yourself to receive
  • old heartbreak that still visits you, even years later
  • a quiet fear that opening up again simply means getting hurt again

...this week's podcast journey was created for you.

ON THE TRUE TO YOURSELF PODCAST 🎙️: your soulful companion for the journey home to yourself

Every week on True to Yourself, we're walking together through a nine-week journey across the nine chakras of the Divine Feminine Hero's Journey—moving from survival to self-realization through reflection, ritual, and guided healing practices you can return to again and again.

This week's journey explores the Heart Chakra—the center of love, compassion, forgiveness, and self-worth.

My hope isn't simply that you'll understand your heart chakra.

It's that you'll remember what it feels like to live with an open heart.

EPISODE 052 ~ HEART CHAKRA REFLECTION

Do you know how to give love better than you know how to receive it?

Do you take care of everyone except yourself—and call it love?

In this episode, we explore five signs you've been putting everyone else before yourself, from over-giving and people-pleasing to the guilt that often comes with rest or receiving help.

Together we'll begin uncovering why genuine love for others begins by remembering yourself, too.

✨ Listen if you're ready to stop mistaking self-abandonment for selflessness.

EPISODE 053 ~ HEART CHAKRA RITUAL

If you can't pour from an empty cup...

why do we keep trying to pour from an empty heart?

In this episode, we gently move from awareness into practice with three Ayurvedic rituals designed to help you receive the same warmth, compassion, and nourishment you so naturally offer everyone else.

Because healing isn't only about learning to give.

It's also about allowing yourself to receive.

✨ Listen if you're ready to refill your own heart.

EPISODE 054 ~ HEART CHAKRA RELEASE

Do you struggle to let go of old heartbreak?

Have you noticed your heart becoming just a little more guarded with every passing year?

You don't have to carry it forever.

In this final episode of our Heart Chakra journey, I'll gently guide you through a healing visualization inspired by Kushmanda, the Indian goddess associated with the heart's radiant creative power.

Together we'll soften what's been guarding your heart, release old heartbreak with compassion, and remember what it feels like to love yourself—and love again—with an open heart.

You'll experience the wisdom of the air element, the symbolism of holding love with an open hand rather than a clenched fist, and Kushmanda's golden light—a reminder that true love has always begun within you.

We'll close with the affirmation:

I love myself unconditionally.

...remembering that your worth has never depended on another person's ability to love you.

This isn't simply another podcast episode.

It's a healing practice you can return to whenever grief resurfaces, your heart feels heavy, or you simply need to remember how deeply worthy of love you have always been.

✨ Listen if you're ready to soften—not by forcing yourself to "move on," but by gently coming home to your own heart.

What's Coming Next

This week we continued our journey through the Heart Chakra.

Next week we move upward into the Throat Chakra—the center of truth, authentic expression, and finding the courage to share your voice with the world.

As always, we'll continue our three-step journey:

Reflect. Ritual. Release.

I'd love for you to subscribe on your favorite podcast app so you don't miss next week's episodes.

And if someone came to mind while reading this—someone whose heart has grown a little guarded over the years, someone who gives love so freely but struggles to receive it—I would be deeply grateful if you shared this week's series with them.

Some of the most meaningful healing begins when one person quietly says,

"I thought of you."

Thank you for trusting me with your attention, your heart, and a small part of your own journey home.

With all my love 🌿,

Ananta

P.S. These weekly episodes are part of the Divine Feminine Hero's Journey—a nine-chakra path inspired by The Way of the Goddess that gently guides you from fear to freedom, self-abandonment to self-love, and survival to sovereignty.
